The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has signed agreements to construct two new solar-powered mosques, one in Dhaalu Rin’budhoo and the other in Alifu Alifu Mathiveri. The projects were awarded to Afaami Maldives and K & F Holdings respectively. Each mosque will accommodate 500 people and include air-conditioning, a dedicated prayer space for women, as well as a library and classroom.
