The Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced its continued partnership with the Maldives Olympic Committee (MOC) to offer the Sports Scholarship Program for a second year. 

This initiative aims to support top national athletes in reaching their full potential by providing them with access to specialized training at internationally renowned high-performance centres.

The scholarship is a fully funded initiative, providing athletes with the opportunity to train at renowned global facilities to enhance their skills and potential.

Nominations for the program are managed by the MOC, with applications open to member associations of the committee. The MOC will oversee the selection of the athletes who will benefit from this opportunity.

Last year, seven athletes from four different sports successfully completed the program, marking a significant achievement for the Maldives' sporting community. 

The Bank's continued support is seen as an important step in developing elite talent and strengthening the Maldives’ presence in international sports competitions.
