An outreach centre of the National Centre for The Holy Quran has been officially opened in Thaa Veymandoo, further expanding Quranic education services in the region. The facility, which includes two classrooms and office spaces, was inaugurated during a ceremony attended by Minister of State for the Holy Quran and Thaa Atoll Council President.

According to the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, the opening fulfils a pledge made by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu in November to establish an outreach centre in Veymandoo. The new facility is expected to support Quranic teaching and improve access to Islamic education for the island community.
