President Dr Mohamed Muizzu  commenced a tour of AA and Malé Atoll on Sunday morning, as part of his initiatives to assess and address the developmental needs of the nation's islands.

During this visit, the President is scheduled to meet with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees, and Atoll Councils, time permitting. These engagements aim to foster direct dialogue with local representatives and provide a platform for discussing the unique challenges and opportunities within each community.

This tour forms part of a series of visits across the Maldives, emphasising the President's commitment to understanding the specific developmental priorities of the islands. President Dr Muizzu set a goal to visit each island at least twice during his tenure, ensuring continuous engagement and follow-up on progress.

Through these efforts, the Administration seeks to prioritise and implement projects that align with the needs and aspirations of island communities, thereby fostering equitable growth and development across the nation.
