President reaffirms commitment to the people during Thoddoo visit

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to prioritising the needs of the people during his visit to AA. Thoddoo, as part of his ongoing pledge to meet with all island councils.
Thoddoo marks the 170th council he has engaged with since taking office. During his visit, President Dr Muizzu emphasised his Administration’s focus on providing support to local communities, highlighting the establishment of a local authority company in Thoddoo. He assured residents that the Government would work with the council to ensure the company operates successfully.
Addressing residents, President Dr Muizzu reaffirmed his non-partisan approach, stating his Government’s actions would prioritise the welfare of the people rather than political ideologies. He acknowledged delays in implementing certain plans due to budgetary constraints inherited from the previous administration but expressed optimism for the coming year.
Key development projects set to commence in Thoddoo next year include:
President Dr Muizzu reiterated his dedication to fulfilling promises made during his presidential campaign, with a focus on ports, sports venues, waste management, and school renovations.
Following his visit to Thoddoo, the President will proceed to meet with councils and Women’s Development Committees in various islands, including Rasdhoo, Ukulhas, Himandhoo, Maalhos, Feridhoo, and Bodufolhudhoo. He will also visit Gaafaru, Huraa, and Himmafushi, engaging with local leaders and communities to address their concerns.
