First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has inaugurated the ruling People’s National Congress (PNC) campaign office for the North Maafannu constituency in Malé City.

The inauguration was held at a ceremony on Friday evening, attended by party officials and supporters. The North Maafannu local council candidate and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) candidate expressed appreciation to the First Lady for inaugurating the office and engaging with campaign activities.

Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar and Minister of Economic Development and Trade Mohamed Saeed attended the event and called on residents to support the party’s candidates in the upcoming elections.

The PNC is set to field the highest number of candidates in the Local Council and WDC elections scheduled for 4 April 2026. The party has been conducting campaign activities across the country, with a particular focus on constituencies in Malé City.
