Jumhooree Party leader Qasim Ibrahim has urged the public to remain cautious over a scam message circulating on social media claiming to offer MVR 50,000 as Ramadan cash assistance in his name.

In a post shared on X, Qasim said the message is being circulated in WhatsApp groups and other social media platforms, accompanied by an AI-generated image of him and a link inviting users to access the supposed assistance.

He clarified that the message is fraudulent and has no connection to him, urging members of the public not to engage with the link or the message and warned that such scams are misleading people and wasting their time, while potentially causing harm to those who may fall victim to the scheme.

He also called on the public to remain vigilant against similar scams and to avoid sharing such messages further. Concluding his message, Qasim prayed for the protection of the community from such dishonest acts.
