The ruling Progressive National Congress (PNC) has initiated a public discussion series titled the ‘Rahyithunge Salla Forum,’ aimed at examining the Government’s proposed state budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
The first discussion in the series, themed ‘Gedhoruverikamuge Budget 2025’ will be held at PNC jagaha on Monday night. The discussion aims to foster a dialogue between the Government and the citizens on the budget allocation for housing and broader financial implications.
The inaugural session features prominent PNC figures including PNC’s Vice-President and Baarah MP Ibrahim Shujau, Mohamed Firzul, Under Secretary for Legal Affairs at the President’s Office, and Ahmed Saeed Mustafa, Deputy Minister of Finance. The event encourages active public engagement, allowing attendees to ask questions directly to panel members and share their views on key budget allocations, with a particular focus on housing projects and spending.
Through the Rahyithunge Salla Forum, PNC aims to provide greater transparency around budget allocations and ensure that citizen voices play a role in shaping the final budget decisions. The sessions are set to continue over the coming weeks, welcoming more members of the public to join the discussions and gain insights into the Government’s fiscal priorities for 2025.
