President Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Sajidha Mohamed have returned to Malé on Saturday following the completion of their Umrah pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The President and First Lady departed for Saudi Arabia on April 6 to undertake the pilgrimage.

The President’s Office stated all hospitality and expenses related to the visit were covered by the government of Saudi Arabia.

President Dr Muizzu and the First Lady had also travelled to Saudi Arabia last year to perform the Hajj pilgrimage as guests of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.
