Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Seychelles Barry Faure has arrived in the Maldives on an official visit at the invitation of Foreign Minister Iruthisham Adam.

Minister Faure was received at Velana International Airport by Foreign Secretary Fathimath Inaya and senior officials of the ministry. The ministry stated that the visit marks the first official visit to the Maldives by a foreign minister from Seychelles, describing it as an important milestone in relations between the two countries.

During the visit, Minister Faure is scheduled to hold discussions with Minister Iruthisham Adam on further strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation on issues of mutual interest at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

The visit also reflects ongoing cooperation between the Maldives and Seychelles as fellow Small Island Developing States, with both countries expected to discuss areas linked to regional and international collaboration.
