State Electric Company Limited (STELCO) launched the STELCO Research Foundation (SRF) on December 18, 2024, to foster STEAM education for children and inspire innovation in the Maldives. A key initiative of the SRF is the Unmanned Submersible Vehicle (USV), an advanced underwater drone designed to enhance ocean data collection and support environmental protection efforts. Managing Director Hussain Fahmy highlighted the Foundation’s role in nation-building and invited young talents and innovators to collaborate on research projects.
