The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) presented its Merit Award 2024 to four top-performing Grade 11 students from the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), providing laptops, data packages, monthly allowances, and training opportunities at Velana International Airport. Speaking at the ceremony on December 19, 2024, MACL CEO Ibrahim Shareef Mohamed emphasised the company’s commitment to nurturing local talent and invited school leavers to join MACL’s workforce. CHSE Principal Zuhudul Haqqu expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting it motivates CHSE’s highly competitive students to excel academically.
