Fenaka Corporation's in-house solar programme is expected to save MVR 19.9 million annually by reducing diesel dependency through the installation of 2,298 kilowatts of solar panels and increased battery storage capacity to 7,005 kilowatts. Despite financial challenges, the company achieved key milestones in 2024, including service expansions, new island operations, and significant investments in renewable energy projects. Additionally, Fenaka is collaborating with the Ministry of Climate Change, Environment, and Energy on the Magey Solar Programme to provide solar panels to households, further promoting sustainable energy use across the Maldives.
