Maldives has seen a significant rise in private jet arrivals during one of its busiest tourist seasons, with over 30 jets currently parked at Velana International Airport. The Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) reported a 10 per cent year-on-year increase in jet movements, totaling 2,326 as of December 28, with December alone seeing an 8 per cent rise. To manage the influx, the airport has designated 68 parking spaces and introduced new operational measures for the winter tourist peak.
