Maldives Immigration and the Maldives Police Service have arrested seven foreign nationals in a crackdown on suspected prostitution networks between December 25 and 30, 2024. The detainees, including four Bangladeshi nationals, two Russian nationals, and one Ugandan national, are either facing deportation or have already been deported. Authorities confirmed that deportation procedures are ongoing for those still in custody.
