President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated new water and sewerage networks in Hoandehdhoo, significantly enhancing the island’s infrastructure. The USD 4.9 million project, financed under the Exim Bank of India’s credit line and executed by Triveni Engineering, includes reverse osmosis plants, storage tanks, and household connections. With these upgrades, the 800-strong community will benefit from improved sanitation and reliable access to clean water, addressing longstanding challenges during the rainy season.
