Maldives Olympics Committee has appointed MHPA, an independent audit firm, to assess the financial status of sports associations, as part of efforts to improve financial governance in the sector. MHPA, known for its previous work with the Football Association of Maldives (FAM), will conduct interviews with individual sports associations, while the Sports Commissioner's Office plans to provide training on state financial management to relevant personnel. Despite concerns raised over MHPA’s previous audit of FAM, the firm has clarified that its role is to assess finances, not implement corrective actions.
