The case against the owners of Mash’ar Tours has been forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office to press charges over financial misconduct related to bounced cheques, following the mistreatment of 53 Umrah pilgrims during last Ramadan. Despite charging each pilgrim MVR 38,500, the company failed to provide return travel arrangements, leaving the group stranded after completing their pilgrimage.
