The e-Resident kit provided through the e-Residency programme

Estonian officials have confirmed that Estonia has thus far issued e-Residency cards to 15 Maldivians, granting them access to register businesses in the EU through their e-Residency programme. The initiative, which has attracted over 103,000 applicants from 170 countries, enables business registration and EU market access regardless of nationality. The programme primarily supports sectors like marketing, consultancy and IT, though it does not serve as a travel document.
