Speaking at the official ceremony marking his first year in office, President Dr Mohamed Muizzu stated that one of the greatest achievements of the past year has been changing the course of the economy without risking bankruptcy. He emphasised that when his Administration assumed office, the government debt had reached critical levels, drawing concern from multiple international financial institutions. However, under his leadership, decisive actions have been taken to reverse the country's economic downturn and restore stability, ensuring a more sustainable and resilient economic future.
