The Maldives' sea-to-air cargo service has already generated over USD 3 million for the economy, transporting over one million kilogrammes of cargo in 210 containers. Primarily shipping Bangladeshi clothing to destinations like the US, UK, and Europe, the service involves collaboration between Maldives Ports Limited (MPL), Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL), and Maldives Customs Service. MPL CEO Mohamed Wajeeh Ibrahim highlighted its rapid expansion as part of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's economic growth initiative.
