The National Security Committee of the Maldives Parliament has agreed to assess a proposed ban on Israeli passport holders following a bill introduced by MDP member Meekail Ahmed Naseem. The bill seeks to prevent Israeli passport holders from entering Maldives due to concerns over the ongoing genocide in Palestine. The committee will consult with various stakeholders and aims to complete its review by February 2025.
