On Thursday the Ministry of Health has announced amendments to the Tobacco Control Act, requiring businesses involved in the tobacco trade to obtain a special licence in addition to a business permit. The updated law will apply to all import, export, and sales activities, with detailed licensing procedures to be finalised within 60 days. These measures reflect the Government’s commitment to reducing tobacco consumption and addressing public health concerns.
