The Maldives’ Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources has launched the second phase of its Refrigerated Sea Water (RSW) Financing initiative to enhance sustainability in the fishing industry. Funded by the Islamic Development Bank Group and the Lives and Livelihoods Fund, the project equips fishermen with modern RSW systems to reduce costs, labour, and preserve the quality of their catch. This initiative highlights the Ministry's commitment to bolstering economic resilience and sustainability in the nation’s vital fishing sector.
