The Republic of Maldives and the Republic of Tajikistan have signed an agreement enabling their citizens to travel visa-free for up to 30 days. The signing ceremony occurred at Tajikistan's Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, with representatives Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed, Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations and Hikmat Jonibek Ismoil, Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations, signing on behalf of their respective countries. This agreement strengthens bilateral relations and promotes easier travel between the two nations.
