The Maldives Police Service (MPS) has issued a warning over a scam message circulating via digital platforms, posing as the Gedhoruveriyaa Portal.

According to the Cyber Crime Department, the fraudulent message includes a link prompting users to log in to the portal. 

Police have confirmed that this is a scam designed to deceive users into sharing personal information, such as logging into their Google account, which will automatically share their passwords and all personal information. 

Authorities have clarified that the Gedhoruveriyaa Portal does not send login links directly to users. Instead, all access to the portal must be done exclusively through the e-Faas application.

Authorities have advised using two-factor authentication to prevent any loss and to report any such messages to 911.
