The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Maldives, Yahya Hassan Alqahtani, paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Higher Education, Dr Ali Haidar, to discuss strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field of higher education.

During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing academic and educational collaboration between the two countries.

The discussions focused on key areas such as faculty and student exchanges, scholarship opportunities, joint research initiatives, and capacity-building programs.

In a post shared on X, the Ministry of Higher Education highlighted that the engagement reflects a shared vision to foster long-term partnerships that support innovation, knowledge exchange, and human capital development.

The ministry stated that this dialogue is another step forward in bolstering the enduring ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives, particularly in the area of higher education.
