The 15-year-old girl who was reported missing from Lh. Naifaru has been found safe.

Khadheejath Maisara Aboobakr Faisal, of Seeniyage, Lh. Naifaru was last seen leaving her home around 10:25 p.m. on August 2. Police launched an appeal for public assistance after her disappearance was reported.

Authorities confirmed that she was located on a street in Naifaru on Tuesday evening. No further details have been disclosed regarding the circumstances of her disappearance or how she was found.

This is not the first time Khadheejath has gone missing. In October 2023, she was also reported missing and was found four days later on the same island, when she was 13 years old.
