Four people have been arrested in connection with a drug possession and trafficking case, following an operation conducted by the Counter Narcotics Intelligence on 4 August.

Police said the arrests were made under a court order after a tip-off was received. During the operation, officers recovered 111.08 grams of suspected drugs and five bottles of liquor from two apartments.

The suspects were taken before the court for remand hearings. Mohamed Layaan Ahmed, 21, and Ali Nazim, 40, were remanded in custody for seven days, while Ali Naavy Niyaz was remanded for five days. The fourth suspect was released under conditions set by the court.

Police have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
