Seventeen foreign nationals have been rescued after a dinghy capsized near Zamani Islands Resort in Malé Atoll, according to the Maldives Police Service.

The incident occurred during a journey from Zamani to Guraidhoo. Police confirmed that all individuals on board were safely rescued, although three of them had reportedly swum to Zamani Island Resort before rescue teams arrived.

Marine police, along with launches from Kaafu Atoll police and nearby resorts, were deployed to assist in the rescue operation. No injuries have been reported.
