Dhiraagu, the Maldives’ leading telecommunications provider, has reported a modest increase in second-quarter profit, signalling operational efficiency and stability across key service areas.

For the quarter ending June 2025, the company posted a net profit of USD 15.44 million, up 2.1 per cent from USD 15.11 million in the first quarter. Pre-tax profit also rose to USD 18.09 million, a 2.2 per cent increase on the previous quarter’s USD 17.70 million.

Despite the improved bottom line, total revenue slipped marginally by 0.3 per cent to USD 45.13 million, compared to USD 45.27 million in Q1. The contraction reflects divergent trends within Dhiraagu’s two main business segments.

Mobile services remained the company’s primary revenue driver, generating USD 24.19 million during the quarter, a 0.5 per cent increase from USD 24.06 million in the preceding three-month period. However, this growth was offset by a slight decline in fixed broadband and enterprise solutions, which brought in USD 19.59 million, down 0.9 per cent from USD 19.79 million in Q1.
