Development of Health Centres in Baa Atoll awarded to Fenaka

The Government has awarded the development and upgrading of health centres in three islands of Baa Atoll to Fenaka Corporation Limited.

Under the agreements, Fenaka will construct a new health centre building in Hithaadhoo and upgrade the existing facilities in Maalhos and Dhonfanu.

The Hithaadhoo project, valued at USD 2.19 million, is scheduled for completion within 730 days. The upgrades in Dhonfanu and Maalhos, worth USD 785,000, are expected to be completed within 545 days.

The upgrade works will include the development of a ward, private room, laboratory and nurse station, along with a procedure room, garage, storeroom, portico, and boundary wall.

The agreements were signed by State Minister Ismail Abdulla on behalf of the Ministry of Health, and Deputy Managing Director Mohamed Arif on behalf of Fenaka Corporation Limited.

The handover ceremony for the Maalhos and Hithaadhoo Health Centres was attended by the Member of Parliament for the constituency, Mohamed Siruhan.
