MIFCO has confirmed the full settlement of payments for fish delivered to the Koodhoo and Addu Fisheries Complexes, totalling MVR 918 million for 50,588 metric tonnes of fish. This marks a significant step in clearing the backlog of payments, with only MVR 30 million outstanding for deliveries to the Felivaru Fisheries Complex. The Government has also committed to ensuring fishermen receive payment within two weeks of delivery, reflecting ongoing efforts to support the country's fishing industry.
