President Dr Mohamed Muizzu reaffirmed the Maldives' unwavering support for Palestine in his message marking the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People, emphasising the generational injustice and ongoing struggles faced by Palestinians. He strongly condemned Israel's actions as genocide and systematic breaches of international law, calling for immediate global intervention, an end to occupation, and a halt to arms sales to Israel. The President highlighted the Maldives' vision for a sovereign Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital, characterising Palestine's struggle as deeply intertwined with Maldivian values and describing it as "our own."
