President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Dr Maryam Mariya to temporarily oversee the Agriculture Ministry alongside her current role as Minister of Higher Education. This appointment follows the resignation of Dr Aishath Rameela from her position as Minister of Agriculture and Animal Welfare citing health reasons.
