The Government is already expanding fish processing facilities and plans to halt raw fish exports, focusing on exporting processed fish for higher national value. Minister Shiyam also discussed clearing a significant debt owed to fishermen and outlined future initiatives like new ice plants and equal fuel pricing to support the industry.
