Maldives welcomed 1.8 million tourists by November 2024, reflecting a 5.7 per cent increase compared to the previous year, with November alone recording 172,985 visitors. This growth aligns with the Government's ambitious goal of 2 million tourists for the year, driven by effective marketing, pristine beaches, and global travel recovery. With peak arrivals in January and February and a strong performance overall, the tourism sector remains a key driver of the Maldivian economy.
