Finance Minister Moosa Zameer credited President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s leadership for alleviating bankruptcy concerns during Tuesday's parliament session. He highlighted the Administration’s strategic financial measures, including debt restructuring, cost rationalisation, and securing international agreements, which have stabilised the Maldives' economy despite inheriting a debt of MVR 124 billion. The minister underscored that policies from the President’s manifesto have been instrumental in averting financial collapse and ensuring public services remain prioritised.
