The National Social Protection Agency (NSPA) has confirmed that Aasandha coverage will remain available for individuals who would otherwise face out-of-pocket medical expenses, even as the Government shifts to prioritise private insurance for outpatient billing. In response to misinformation, NSPA clarified that Aasandha benefits will still apply if private insurers stop cashless payments.
