The Maldivian government has achieved a historic milestone in the fishing industry by processing payments within 48 hours, disbursing over MVR 2 million to fishermen. This marks a successful implementation of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's pledge to address payment delays, with MVR 38 million distributed over two weeks through a new rapid payment system at Bank of Maldives and Maldives Islamic Bank.
