President Dr Mohamed Muizzu awarded Major General Retired Moosa Ali Jaleel the Grand Order of Military Honour (GOMH) on Victory Day for his distinguished service in defending national security. Major General Retired Moosa Ali Jaleel was recognised for his role in the 1988 terror attack, where he led an active defence as the Infantry Task Force Commander. With a 31-year career in the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF), he also held key national roles after retirement, including Minister of Defence and Maldivian High Commissioner to Pakistan.
